Building bridges between artists and audiences since 2016
Vine-robin emerged from a simple observation: Johannesburg possessed extraordinary artistic talent that lacked proper platforms for expression. What began as informal gatherings in abandoned warehouses has grown into a network of curated art spaces serving creators and collectors alike.
Our founders, themselves former street artists, understood the barriers facing emerging talent. Access to exhibition venues, connections with buyers, and professional development opportunities were luxuries reserved for the established few. We set out to democratize that access.
Urban art is not merely decoration. It carries the voice of communities, the weight of history, and the spark of revolution. Every mural tells a story. Every installation challenges perception.
We believe art spaces should reflect this energy. Our venues are not sterile white cubes but living environments that breathe with the work they house. We encourage experimentation, support risk-taking, and celebrate the raw authenticity that defines Johannesburg's creative spirit.

Beyond exhibitions and tours, Vine-robin runs programs that feed back into the artistic community. Our annual scholarship supports two emerging artists with studio space and mentorship. Our youth workshops introduce township students to creative careers.
